Insider suicide

Remember this little tantrum just a few months ago? The boys stomping their feet and hollering Hey! NO FAIR! No-fair-no-fair-no-fair-NO-FAIR!

"The WA arm of news.com.au, PerthNow, has broken the standard same-day media embargo and given out details about tomorrow’s three gatecrashers."

Kinda funny, then, when they themselves stumble upon an embargoed press release announcing the end of Big Brother Australia, all that indignant outrage flies out the window:

“… (the) news will be released by Channel Ten at midnight tonight.”

Now despite the hypocrisy of it all, you would think the little tykes would have enough sense to just post the news, sit back, shut up and let everything roll. But no. Someone just had to add one more little bite in an attempt to perpetuate that Super Duper Super Secret Insider myth:

“News filtering through that it could actually be up to two years before a BB revival is made.”

The actual news?

“The show… will be put on the market by the production company Southern Star Endemol after it wraps up on July 21.”

But of course all those potential bidders – if any – were immediately "filtering through" their plans direct to BBBA.

Or not.

Looking really, really stupid, much?

Do you know what is stupid much? The way you can't get your facts straight.
I posted the news at 2.44pm yesterday. That article you link to was published today!

There was no leaked press release, if there were I would have posted ALL the details.

It would just KILL you to admit for once that you were WRONG, and now you have egg on your face.

Suck it up buttercup!

Mica, Somebody needs to teach you how to read sitemeter.

I don't know anything about the future of the show, only the timeframe that is being speculated on.

Will you keep blogging? I'll miss you if you don't. I think you're officially my latest girlcrush.

Steph! Great to see you posting under your own name for a change!

Now come on. I gave you credit for leaking the news. Sheesh.

I'm just awfully impressed that you knew so much about the future of BB, considering it's only just been advertised for sale. Today.

But Steph,

You fail to explain how you know all about this timeframe when the house has only just come up for auction. Fill us in!

Oh, and really bad idea on that girlcrush. Do you know I can spend more in one afternoon than you earn a year? I would expect to be kept that way.

Errrk. A subtle edit in my first comment put the comments out of order. My fault for being a computer blonde. It actually goes: Steph said, Mica said, Steph said, Mica said. Then this one. And no hanging shit on me, PACO's FRIEND.

I highly doubt you could spend more than I. My shoe collection alone is worth a small garage in Sydney, but lets not quibble.

As for knowing the timeframe, I was initially told yesterday by one of my "imaginary" sources that the show was only being rested for a year. An hour or so later, she/he said maybe two. That's all I know. I don't know any more.

Mica got BUUUUUURRRRRRNNNNNED by steph! (reference to 'That 70s Show')

God, Mica, won't you just give up? Your site only entertains the idiots at the horridly designed and unoriginal BBBA.net, no one else.

As of yet, you've only made yourself look like some old hag with a grudge, not BBBA.

And, anyone who didn't have perception problems like yourself, would know that your first quote to BBBA was far from a tantrum. If you seriously think thats a tantrum then you must either have serious issues with the english language or were never a child... I am betting both.

Love you lots!

Kisses right back atcha, Nathe.

So Steph. You'll probably have some fairly harsh words for this timeframe "source" who made an utter fool out of you and your shoes, yeah?

Unless of course they are the Omniscient Insider who is privy to broadcast boardrooms across Australia.

In which case, nevermind me and definitely hang on to that one.

It seems that Steph's "imaginary" friends have failed quite badly this year (unless we can cal this axing news a scoop). A bi of viral marketing and nothing else on offer at BBBA. What a laughing stock!

Thanks for bugger all, BBBA! Lift your game by the time BB returns. Or better still, shut up shop and take your bile elsewhere.

Anyone notice that BBBA isn't the only one who hasn't posted as much news as other years?

Its not like there are other people going nuts with BB news... there just is none.

And the anonymous who called BBBA a laughing stock is just an idiot, who else can you tell us that has a better site then BBBA? NONE! BBBA.net? HA HA HA HA! No.

I like Steph more and more every day... Comparing Steph and Mica is like comparing Puppies (steph) and Rats (Mica). Everyone loves Puppies and if you don't... YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!!!

Nathan,

The public has been calling BBBA a laughing stock for years. It is still considered to be the most unreliable source of information around. As for other sites, there isn't much news, true, but News Ltd (BBBA's main source of second, third, fourth and fifth hand information) did a far better job once again.

BBBA has failed again!
